How are b-sharpe exchange rates calculated?

Our rates are based on the actual interbank rate, to which we add transaction fees that decrease depending on the amount and currency pair. Unlike banks, we always show you the final price in our converter: you know exactly what you’ll receive before confirming.

What is the difference between the fixed rate and the market rate?

The fixed rate allows you to lock in a rate for 48 hours via the app or our team: you’re protected against fluctuations until your transfer arrives. The market rate means the rate will be applied when we receive your funds, offering more flexibility without any time constraints.

How long does a transfer take?

Once your funds have been received, the conversion and transfer are completed within 24 working hours. The total time taken depends on how quickly your initial transfer is processed (usually 1 to 2 working days depending on your bank).

What are the fees?

b-sharpe does not charge any account opening, management or closing fees. The only cost is the transaction fee on the exchange rate, starting from 0.12% depending on the amount and currency pair. The final price is always visible in our converter before confirmation.

How does the IBAN in my name work?

When you open a b-sharpe account, you receive a Swiss IBAN in CHF in your name. You can provide this to your employer to have your salary paid directly into b-sharpe. Each time a payment is received, your funds are automatically converted and transferred to your account in the currency of your choice.

What happens at the weekend?

The foreign exchange market is closed at the weekend. The rates displayed on Saturday and Sunday are indicative and non-binding. If you set a rate on Friday, the 48-hour window applies as normal. Conversions resume on Monday morning.
